Supporting Small Emergent Needs
Rapid Response Grants provide flexible, short-term support for time-sensitive, unexpected needs, or small-scale requests that align with BFO’s mission and pillars. These funds are available year-round, or until designated resources have been fully allocated.

Eligibility
- Serve residents in at least one of BFO's eight counties.
- Align with at least one BFO grant pillar.
- Operate as a nonprofit, governmental entity, or school.
- Not compete with services offered by Deaconess Memorial Medical Center.
Next Steps
- Email a short proposal or request letter to info@beingforothers.org that includes:
- Organizational overview
- Organizational EIN
- Description of the urgent need
- Urgent need alignment with BFO pillar(s)
- Proposed timeline related to the need
- Amount requested
- Nonprofit organizations must also attach their most recent IRS Form 990.
- Funding decisions are typically made within 3–4 weeks.
